Wayseers Movement

This is such an awesomely stunning video (to see full size click on “continue reading”). I can’t believe the time and creative energy that went into making it, and I love the audio-visual variety. The producer is Garret John LoPorto and I think he is pretty New Age, but one can always pick out and appreciate the truths in these kinds of messages, even if we don’t agree with all of it. I personally can look at things like this through my “filter” and see a great message, regardless. Tell me what you think!

  • Insightful! Inspiring! Yowza! There's so much contained within the ten minute video, it's hard to recap, but WOW, what a message! A beautiful way to understand people through the eyes of love.

    P.S. Love me some U2 & Chicago footage (a nice bonus). :D

I was hoping that the end would show that the "way" would be Jesus Christ.

  • Julie,
It is an impressive video and very charasmatic and dynamic. However, like your previous commenter, I too was waiting to see if the "way" in the video was "the" way, Jesus Christ, or some other "ways". I quick look at the website didn't reveal "the way" to me either.

I have a habit of being able to filter things. Whether or not he believes Jesus is the Way, I do, and I am able to filter the entire video through those lenses and appreciate the amazing creativity. I am sure you are able to do the same, and it is wonderful to be able to see the message presented in such a beautiful way!

Are you on his payroll? I doubt if you will let this get through. Just because you can "filter", that doesn't mean everyone else can. If your filter is a true one then how does 2 Thessalonians Chapter 2 fit. The leaders of God's people have got to speak the truth. This stuff is full to the top with EGO WORSHIP. If you are a Bible scholar can you think of anyone else in scripture who had the same problem? Maybe someone from the garden with a well mapped out plan and shinny fruit to taste?

    • Bill, Julie is not endorsing the guy or his teaching. She even included a disclaimer. The bottom line is that truths and inspiration can be found in just about any religion or belief system. If there's something I appreciate about Islam, like their commitment to prayer, that does not mean I'm endorsing Islam. Christianity does not have a monopoly on truth, and in fact modern Christianity as well as historical Christianity gets a lot of things wrong. If Christians feel like they have "the truth," then they shouldn't be afraid to appreciate beauty and truth wherever it might appear.

Tell it to God, not to me. If a counterfeit did not imitate the real, how would it pass for truth? If you truly believe what you have said, Have a little arsenic with your coffee today. God made Christianity. Man screwed it up through "feelings". God's Word is true whether you feel like it or not. Why don't you go get a book by A W Tozer. Don't be afraid to appreciate the beauty and truth in his work. Heb 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

May God be glorified through it if it is truly inspired of God! Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, nobody comes to the father but by Him.

Julie, I have followed your blog for over a year and purchased your book (not the most recent one… yet). I loved this video. I have gone through a gradual process over the past 15 years to open up my eyes to the oppressiveness of the "modern" version of Christianity. I feel like so much of what is taught is fear-based and meant to control. I realized that followers are not encouraged to think for themselves and were shamed when they questioned any one, especially beloved leaders (imperfect human beings!). People are forced to conform and fit within the box, told what to believe… and even God is forced into their limited definition.
The Bible says that God will do a NEW THING in the last day. No, I don't believe it will be watered-down, but I also believe it will BLAST the roof off of the limiting, small-minded, controlling and fearful modern Christian leaders who have oppressed and kept in bondage God's precious people!
Oh… by the way… I believe it was in Acts where the movement we call the Early Church was actually called "The Way."
